Project Name: Guangdong Jiangmen Fire Equipment Cleanroom Construction Project

Special Design: Lower section solid sandwich panels + upper section cleanroom aluminum-framed tempered glass combination partition wall

Key Requirements: Fire resistance, antibacterial properties, sound insulation, cleanliness, and visual transparency for visitor observation

Project Challenges

The fire equipment manufacturing workshop presented dual stringent requirements for the enclosure system:

Fire Compliance Pressure: Fire equipment assembly involves combustible materials including electronic components, plastic parts, and packaging materials. Fire compartments must meet mandatory fire safety acceptance standards, and core materials must achieve Class A non-combustible rating.

Cleanliness and Antibacterial Requirements: The laboratory area is used for fire equipment performance testing, requiring cleanroom-level air tightness, antibacterial properties, and particle-free conditions.

Visitor Walkway Transparency: The owner wanted the walkway to visually showcase production capabilities, but full solid walls would make the walkway feel enclosed and oppressive, while full glass walls could not meet fire compartment requirements.

Four Functional Zones, One Integrated Panel System: The laboratory, office area, production workshop, and visitor walkway each had different requirements that needed to be addressed with a single integrated panel system.

Material Selection

Primary Material: Shangcheng 50mm/1150mm machine-made purification magnesium oxide sandwich panels

Technical specifications fully matched project requirements:

Effective Width: 1150mm

Thickness: 50mm (75mm/100mm customizable)

Length: Custom manufactured according to project requirements (generally ≤6000mm)

Core Material: Non-halogenated magnesium sulfate, magnesium oxide, and brine ternary system with medium-alkali fiberglass mesh reinforcement

Panel Surface: Premium polyester resin, fluorocarbon resin coated color steel sheets, galvanized steel, or 304# stainless steel (optional)

Installation Structure: Tongue-and-groove jointing

Fire Rating: Class A non-combustible material – does not melt, produce high-temperature decomposition drip, or generate toxic smoke during combustion

Why Magnesium Oxide Purification Panels?

For the specific environment of the fire equipment workshop, the characteristics of magnesium oxide core material precisely addressed the requirements:

Fireproof and Non-Combustible: The core material consists of non-halogenated magnesium oxide and other inorganic materials. Class A non-combustible – does not support combustion, produces no dripping, and generates no toxic smoke when exposed to open flame. Ideal for fire compartments in fire equipment workshops.

Moisture-Proof, Antibacterial, and Non-Halogenated: Magnesium oxide panels are waterproof, odorless, non-corrosive, and crack-resistant. The surface is dense and particle-free, suitable for Jiangmen's high-temperature, high-humidity climate.

High Strength and Lightweight: High strength, impact-resistant, earthquake-resistant, and easy to install.

Particle-Free and Easy to Clean: High surface gloss, smooth, and does not trap dust or airborne particles, meeting cleanroom requirements.

Core Innovation: Lower Panel + Upper Glass Combination Partition Wall

This project's most distinctive custom design – the "lower solid sandwich panel + upper glass" combination partition wall:

Lower Section (Below approximately 1100mm from floor):

50mm magnesium oxide purification panel solid wall

Provides primary fire compartment function

R≥50mm arc aluminum trim at floor junction to eliminate dust-collecting corners

Continuous medical-grade neutral sealant applied to panel joints

Upper Section (Above approximately 1100mm from floor to ceiling):

Cleanroom-grade aluminum-framed tempered glass

Optional aluminum alloy blinds between glass layers for privacy adjustment

Arc transition and sealing at glass upper edge to ceiling junction

Full-length panoramic glass on the visitor walkway side for complete production workshop visibility

Ceiling System:

Full continuous walkable ceiling using 50mm magnesium oxide purification panels

Tongue-and-groove connection with concealed keel system

Arc transition at all internal and external corners

Construction Note: The wall panel height above glass windows should be approximately 5mm shorter than adjacent wall panels to prevent temporary loads from transferring to the glass and causing breakage.

Four Functional Zone Applications

Laboratory Area: 50mm magnesium oxide panels for fully sealed enclosure, matte dust-free surface, seamless joints. Upper glass windows allow management to observe experiments from the office area.

Office Area: Lower magnesium oxide panels effectively block workshop noise and dust, upper glass introduces natural lighting. Physical partition separation from workshop.

Production Workshop: Full 50mm magnesium oxide panel partition walls + walkable magnesium oxide ceiling, creating Class A fireproof, dust-free, anti-static fire equipment assembly environment.

Visitor Walkway: The essence of the "lower panel + upper glass" design – visitors walk along the walkway and look through continuous upper glass windows for a 360-degree view of the full production workshop. This achieves "transparent production" while maintaining fire compartment compliance through the lower solid magnesium oxide panels.
